Description

I am currently looking for a new Technical Sales Demonstrator, working for my client's leading global manufacturing organisation, you will be covering the Midlands, having had experience with metal fabrication, adhesives and abrasives. You should hold qualifications and had some years of hands on industry experience, you will be supporting an experienced sales team by delivering abrasives product demonstrations into the metal fabrication industry.

Working closely with the territory sales team and partner resellers, you will build strong relationships with pre-qualified accounts, advising on the productivity and safety aspects of using the right abrasives for the right customer's specific applications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

*Work alongside dealer network to grow sales within the assigned territory.
*Build up your own base of end users by using company vehicle and tools to deliver compelling demonstrations and simple selling techniques.
*Provide technical product advice and health and safety guidance to end users.
*Aggressively seek new business opportunities by following call plans set by your office based opportunity management team.
*Build strong relationship with customers and assist in selecting company products appropriate to their individual requirements and application needs.
*Help to resolve customer issues promptly and maintain good communication channels between the customers and the company where necessary.
*Be alert of competitive products and marketing practices, keeping you manager informed.
*Attend and participate in company sales meetings, training programs, trade shows as directed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

*Some sales experience preferred but not essential - full training will be given.
*Experience with heavy hand tools and/or shop floor experience preferred.
*Mechanical aptitude - must have the ability to understand basic machine and equipment operation and principal
*Ability to lift products and samples up to 20kgs without assistance and set up and conduct hands-on tool demonstrations.
*Willing to spend 4 in 5 days on the road as a minimum
*Self-motivated with high energy and a positive attitude.
*Effective independent worker, able to organise and manage time effectively.
*Passionate about you work and comfortable with demonstrations to varying sizes of audience.
*A good general computer proficiency.
