I am currently seeking experienced F&DT Engineers to work with a client of mine based in Belgium.
Some key information regarding the positions are as follows:
Rate: €40-€45ph depending on experience
Location: Brussels area, Belgium
Duration: 3-6 months initially
Key Information
Required experience:
Experience in stress office for structural analysis of aircraft structures.
Skills: mechanics, stress methods applied to metallic structures, good knowledge of Finite Element Modelling (SAMCEF and/or NASTRAN), knowledge on the Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analyses.
Structures: knowledge of analyses on Flaps structures would be an asset.
Tools: SAMCEF and/or NASTRAN, NASGRO, CLDSEQ, CATIA V5, Microsoft tools, Unix work stations.
Language: English
Other skills: rigour, flexibility, autonomy, open minded and services oriented.
Job description:
Under the responsibility of the stress leader, the Fatigue and Damage Tolerance engineer participates to the engineering works linked to a project of the metallic structures:
* Generation of the fatigue spectrum of aeronautical structures
* Sizing in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance of aeronautical structures and writing of the stress dossiers/reports
* Application of the rules/requirements: in charge to check the compliance of the structures to the applicable requirements
* Definition tests needs (definition of the tests, choice and location of the measurements, ) and analysis of the test results
* Interaction with the others departments of the Technical Division
* The preparation/presentation of internal reviews with the team
