Job description:
As Project Engineer Onshore Cable Installation for Belgium you will:
Ensure that the Contractors develop safe, high quality and efficient installation design and procedures.
Follow-up project execution at the site locations to ensure safety, quality and progress.
Ensure a solid relationship between Nemo Link and its stakeholders, such as local authorities, police, local residents and businesses
Other responsibilities:
Manage interfaces between Contractors and other stakeholders.
Liaise with authorities to obtain, maintain and fulfil consents, permits and licenses.
Keep local stakeholders informed
Report regularly on progress, issues, etc.
Adopt and promote a 'Safety by Design' culture within the Nemo Link organisation, as well as towards the Cable Contractor.
Profile:
You are fluent in Dutch and English
You have at least 5 years of experience in construction projects in Belgium and in particular public works with high stakeholder involvement
You have experience in road construction, underground cable or pipeline installation and horizontal directional drilling works
You have excellent communication skills and vast experience in local stakeholder management
You hold a university degree in Engineering
You have a good knowledge of Belgian construction law, safety regulations and industry best practices
You are well organised, flexible and proactive.
