Description
We are looking for an Application developer to join our team working with an EU agency in the historic city of Strasbourg, seat of the European Parliament and home to many prestigious EU agencies.
Working under our contract with eu-LISA, you will help our client accomplish their mission of supporting all the EU member states for a safer Europe through technology.
The successful candidate will perform maintenance, bug fixing, developing and testing of an in-house Microsoft based reporting solution and Java/Oracle application and maintain technical documentation.
We are looking for a candidate with the following profile:
- Knowledge of MS suite development tools and language (VBA, C#, );
- In-depth knowledge of SQL;
- Good knowledge of Java programming language in Oracle developer environment;
- Minimum 4 years of IT professional experience;
- Minimum 3 years of relevant education (bachelor degree or equivalent) after the secondary school.
It will be considered as a plus, if you have the following:
- Specific expertise in maintaining application in the area of Statistics and reporting;
- Knowledge of other programming environments (eg .NET)/script languages;
- MCSE and/or MCSD certification.
The successful candidate should be able to start ASAP.
This assignment is initially offered as a freelance contract until the end of the year with highly potential extensions afterwards.
