Java Developer (DevOps)
I am currently hiring a Java Developer for a financial client based in Brussels for a long term project with the initial contract offer of 6 to 12 months + extensions based on performance.
In order to strengthen their development team that delivers complex mission-critical software solutions. The client is looking for an experienced Java engineer who is ready to work on the latest technologies.
Job Description:
As a Senior Java Dev engineer you will be part of a technical BusDevOps team that works on the creation and management of top-quality software every day. The clients teams work in a BusDevOps manner, where the Scrum/Agile methodology and Continuous integration/Continuous Delivery practices are very important. As a Java Software Engineer you will be working on the Back End applications.
The Environment
You will work with the team that builds the core of the Digital solution providing new digital channels worldwide. The client mainly uses the following technologies and frameworks: Java 8, Apache Ignite/GridGain, Spring, Kafka, Cassandra, Jenkins, Maven and Nolio.
The right Java Developer will have the following:
- You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Information Technology or equivalent
- You have at least 5 years experience as Java software Engineer, Apache Ignite/GridGain experience is a plus
- You have worked with Java 8
- You have worked with distributed systems and are comfortable with distributed architectures, pattern and frameworks
- You have experience in working in Agile Dev/Ops teams
- You have are at ease in a complex and multicultural environment
- You enjoy creating innovative solutions using the latest technologies
- You are a team player and communicate well
- You are transparent and you are not shy to defend your point of view
- You are comfortable in taking design decisions and coaching more junior engineers
- Fluent Dutch or French speaker preferred
