Brand Development Global Assistant - London - 12 months

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

DESIGN PHASE

  • Work with the GPL, their Project Team and the Lead APS to scope, finalize and lock all information in the design phase needed to execute mechanical artwork build.
  • Work with category planning and the relevant GPL to optimize the final number of SKUs and artworks, taking into account country clusters, multi-lingual packs and supply chain operational optimization.
  • Brief category functions eg R&D, Supply Chain, Legal, BB, R&D Deploy on the artwork changes and ensure that the teams are aligned on their inputs into the Artwork Project Brief as part of the pre-mechanical phase of the AW.
  • Brief the hub based Artwork Excellence APS Deploy Teams for each project (along with the BD GPL).
  • Where requested by BD for key markets, they will get involved in translations (with technical and project managers) with BB teams, who are responsible for this, to ensure that timings are met.
  • Preparation of golden samples for internal presentations leading up to finalization of the Master Toolbox.

ROLL-OUT PHASE

  • Lead roll-out of AWs from the Global Master Toolbox for adaptation & deployment from the Marketing side.
  • When an approval issue is highlighted by the Artwork Excellence APS in the system, liaise with the local markets on requested amends to resolve the issue.
  • If necessary, liaise with creative design agencies on any design adaptation work that is needed.
  • Supply required artwork files (via the Artwork Excellence APS) to external agencies for the production of mock-up packs, point of sale designs, eCommerce, advertising and sampling packs.
  • Supply a Design Phase and artwork production progress report for the GPL on a regular basis.

MAINTENANCE PHASE

  • Will escalate potential conflict impacting timing, quality or brand consistency to the GPL and/or Director.
  • Check all design agency invoices for accuracy before agreeing payment.
  • Closely work with partners and APS Team to ensure any non-project related changes to AW are reflected on time.

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

  • The role requires good planning and ability to keep projects to deadline. There are often several projects at different stages that need to be worked on at the same time.
  • Ability to juggle between projects and implement prioritisation plans rapidly.
  • Two to three years' experience in the area of 2D packaging graphic process and design, artwork adaptation, design or artwork management, package development, possibly print management or printing experience.
