ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a Front End Developer for a 6 month contract opportunity in Tempe, AZ. The Front End Developer will join a team dedicated to a UI refresh for web facing product. The Front End Developer will leverage HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC, and C# to develop the new interface while working in an Agile environment. The Front End Developer must have experience implementing accessible features in web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, along with experience in testing applications for compliance with accessibility standards. The project is within the healthcare sector, so hands-on experience with Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines and specifications, including WCAG and WAI-ARIA, is highly desired. Candidates with WAI experience will be given top priority!
This role requires candidates with previous experience developing enterprise applications with C# and ASP.NET MVC. Although we are requiring full stack experience, this role will be 90% Front End/presentation layer. Candidates without strong HTML5, CSS and JavaScript need not apply.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
3-5+ years of experience in the following skill sets
- Full Life Cycle Web Application Development - ASP.NET MVC and C#
- Development/Support/Troubleshooting/Implementation
- Front End Development - JavaScript/JQuery/HTML5/CSS
- Requirements Gathering/Design/Development/Support/Troubleshooting
- Version Control Systems - TFS (Team Foundation Server) Source Control
- Familiarity with Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Guidelines
- Excellent communications - Written/Verbal
PREFERRED (but not required)
- Hands-on experience developing web applications with WAI guidelines
- Modern JavaScript frameworks - Bootstrap
