Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch Speaking Java Developer for our client based in Brussels, Belgium

Our Client :-

The Ministry of the Flemish Community (MVG) was from January 1, 1983 to January 1, 2006 the official organization of the Government of Flanders, where the Flemish Government policy is implemented. The ministry was divided into departments were headed by a Secretary-General. The departments knew another subdivision in administrations. The administrations were led by a Director General.

Your New role :-

As a Java developer you will be responsible for developing solutions that meet the requirements of the functional analysis and you will be able to analyze the technical solution to build. You will monitor the quality of its solutions in collaboration with colleagues and end users.
It is a mission that aims to continue ongoing development m.b.t different modules of DOV and / or to start new development projects: development of groundwater hatch migration module samples and lab tests, modifications to tests and probing applications.

General Technical context:
- IT training to degree level or equivalent experience
- Software Engineer with over 8 years experience in Java

Your Skills and experience :-

Thorough knowledge of:
- Java
- Web development technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
- Web development frameworks (GWT)
- Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- AJAX development patterns
- Restfull HTTP
- Web services (WS * specifications)
Demonstrable experience with these frameworks and software libraries:
- Geomajas
- Java Topology Suite
- GeoTools
- Java Topoloy Suite (JTS)
- Hibernate + Hibernate Spatial
- OpenAM and OAuth
Demonstrable experience with databases:
- PostgreSQL + PostGIS
Knowledge of and experience with the following development tools and / or collaborative environments:
- UML
- JIRA / GreenHopper
- Confluence
- Subversion
other:
- Knowledge of organization and tasks of DOV
- Experience with integrating applications on the LNE-ACD platform
- Willingness to work in a team based on the principles of the Agile Manifesto.
