SMC Coach Hire are looking for a full stack developer to help with the development and maintenance of our systems, on a freelance & remote working basis.About SMC Coach Hire Ltd
SMC Coach Hire have developed rapidly in to one of the leading suppliers of coach and minibus hire services across the UK. Despite our growth our organisation has remained community minded and small in numbers.
Our systems help us manage tens of thousands of enquiries, coordinate thousands of bookings, maintain communications with clients and suppliers as well as monitoring and analysing staff, website, supplier and company performance.
Our stack includes: PHP (Laravel framework), MySQL on RDS, EC2, AngularJS, JavaScript, Grunt & New Relic
Job Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be able to self-manage and work remotely
- Have a “just get it done” mentality
- Be able to work and communicate effectively with our development team
Technical Skills
- Extensive knowledge of PHP and MVC frameworks, and ideally with Laravel
- Good knowledge of MySQL
- Familiar with git and ideally git flow
- Experience with Test Driven Development
- Experience with working remotely and communicating clearly
- In depth knowledge of Javascript, ideally AngularJS
- Able to write maintainable and well formatted code
- Able to provide code samples of relevant PHP and Javascript
