Description
Chimera Web Solutions LLC is looking to hire a new Web Designer on a contract basis.Our ideal candidate is knowledgeable in the latest trends and best practices in print and web design as well as proven web programming skills using HTML5, CSS3, JQuery and PHP primarily within the WordPress content management system. This position is responsible for developing and executing design concepts and overseeing projects. Applicant must be a problem solver and have the ability to work as a team and independently.
Desired Skills:
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and responsive web design (Bootstrap and Foundation) a plus
- Proficient in customizing themes in WordPress
- Experience in custom WordPress plugin development a plus
- Experience with social media API integration (ie. Twitter, Facebook, etc) a plus
- Experience with Analytics and SEM/SEO a plus
- Keeps supervisor apprised of the status of work through daily/weekly status reports
- Must be self-motivated, a problem solver and quickly learn new technology and standards
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communications skills
- Must have the durability, flexibility and absolute ability to manage the work through to completion
