Description

1 x Systems Developer opportunity has become available with our international ICT client in Valencia, Spain.
As a Systems Developer, you will have a background in a range of technologies including Python, Django, Unix and Linux and be comfortable with the development of automated solutions including automated testing.
You will join an existing team of developers and work in a large and collaborative technical environment, focusing on automation projects and development work streams that will improve the client's services. This is an English-speaking role (and environment) initially for 6 months but it could extend up to two years or longer based on good performance and workload.
Please note this opportunity is not suitable for someone only focused on financial income as the client is non-profit and the location is very affordable. Or simply it's for someone who wants to enjoy all the benefits that Spain has to offer.
Your System Developer duties will include:
  • Design and delivery of automation to improve the availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of the client's services.
  • Administer and enhance the server provisioning platform.
  • Design and build automated testing frameworks.
  • Apply best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
  • Participate in the development of a Cloud Management Platform.
  • Provide input into strategic decisions related to the Cloud environment.
You should have the following experience:
  • Excellent skills in Python: core libraries as well as web frameworks such as Django.
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, JS and CSS, including frameworks such as Bootstrap.
  • Experience utilising UNIX Shell.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP stack.
  • Good knowledge of DevOps processes for CI/CD (Git, Puppet, Atlassian Jira/Bamboo).
  • Strong process automation and optimisation skills.
  • Systematic problem solving approach accompanied by a strong sense of ownership and drive.
  • University degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent English language skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to live and work in Valencia, Spain.
As for location, Valencia is Spain's 3rd largest city and offers everything you can imagine including excellent food and drink, year round good weather, amazing beaches, nightlife and social activities and above all a very affordable cost of living including very reasonably-priced accommodation.
The application period for this role closes imminently so please contact Quanta ASAP if you are interested.

The interview process will include a one stage Skype video interview.
