Network Engineers
Location: Austin, TX - one year contract
Must be open to 25% travel (paid for by client) OSPG, BGP, MPLS, DNS/DHCP CISCO switching, WAN optimization CISCO Nexus 7k and 5k install and support.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to install, support and assist in the design of network solutions provided by our client. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving customer escalated issues
Responsibilities/Requirements
Work with project delivery teams to plan, deploy, and document Network solutions.
Work with other IT personnel to trouble shoot complex outages as they occur and bring about stability in an expeditious manner
Have advanced experience with OSPF, BGP, MPLS routing protocols.
Have advanced experience with DNS/DHCP as related to troubleshooting and deploying these services.
Have a strong history with Cisco switching fundamentals in an enterprise environment.
Experience with WAN Optimization and ability to demonstrate knowledge.
Extreme attention to detail and willingness to follow strict governance procedures.
Have a well-rounded understanding of all infrastructure technologies that utilize the network. (server, storage, DB, etc)
Have a solid understanding of Cisco Nexus 7k and 5k platforms.
Ability to travel for remote deployments
Ability to articulate high level design concepts, and root cause analysis for critical outages to senior management
Qualifications:
7 plus years of enterprise level Network deployment and support experience
CCNA Required. CCNP, CCIE preferred
Excellent analytical ability and communications skills
Interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Customer service skills and experience
Strong organization abilities
