• Contract Length: 6 Months+
• Daily Rates: Negotiable/Higher than market

Job Purpose & Objective:

• Technically lead the development team
• Seasoned Big Data Solution Design lead with working experience of Big data technologies including Apache Spark , Kafka and Cassandra and Java technology Stack.
• Should have exprience of Database concepts/ technology stack like HDFS, MS SQL, MySQL and good understanding of technologies like Eclipse IDE, Java technology stack, Hadoop Mapreduce, Yarn, SOLR, Tomcat, Spring MVC, Python, AWS, Apache Hadoop, Data integration etc
• Enabling the technical delivery of the book of work using Agile methodology
• Lead the embedding of defined software engineering standards and operational ways of working
• Coaching, encouraging knowledge sharing and ensuring the team are following standards and guidelines agreed by Company
• Accountable for activities supporting delivery deadlines, ensuring the team are progressing deliveries on track, including ensuring all team members are fully utilised
• Ensuring a pro-active approach to issue management, thinking and communicating within the team
• Technical leadership as the first point of contact for technical blockages
• Pro-actively buildl company knowledge relating to Individual Squad. Build an understanding of the roadmap, and business requirements to enable informed decisions
• Attend and contribute to the weekly book of work meetings
• Squad and change dependant, attend inception meetings for new changes to understand at a high level technical requirements and potential design options
• Review, discuss and approve estimates relating to development effort
• As required deliver agreed stories
• Demonstrate, encourage and instilling agreed values and behaviours. Examples: Knowledge sharing, strong communication, continuous operational & technical improvement, flexibility, professional working hours as required
