Description
An Interaction Designer is required for a contract position with our client based in London.
Responsibilities
- As a UX/Interaction Designer you will design accessible services that are simple enough for everyone to use. Demonstrating that you understand user needs and how to design services that meet them.
- Create elegant customer journeys - You know that if a customer journey is jarring, it fails. Your work is simple, thoughtful, and elegant. Your interfaces feel right - delivering directly to jobs to be done'.
- Work with user researchers and Front End developers to turn concepts into user-centred services.
- Ensure that the design of services is consistent with the customer's portfolio of services.
- Be excited by the challenge of creating digital services that work across multiple channels, devices, browsers and platforms.
- Create hi-fidelity clickable interfaces - You know that interfaces and journeys need to be experienced to know if they work or not, so you create and test them with yourself and others
- Be able to see the bigger picture as well as the fine detail, and be able to sketch in code as well as on paper.
- Understand the way that the Internet works and how to design in an agile environment.
Essential Experience:
- Strong experience in UX/UI Interaction Design roles.
- Knowledge and experience of designing accessible, secure, responsive user interfaces.
- Ability to sketch and prototype sketching, prototyping and iterative design on paper and in HTML.
- Good experience with Javascript libraries
- Experience of putting forward the case for design to senior stakeholders
- Ability to work quickly in an agile environment.
- Ability to constructively review the work of others.
- A basic understanding of typography.
- An appreciation of how form and function work together.
- Ability to write for user interfaces.
- Confidence and ability to explain design decisions and be able to represent a service at a service assessment.
Duration: 3 months (+ extensions as required)

Pay rates: up to £400 per day
