Competence Development Consultant

We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company, to join their project in China.

Position Title: Competence Development Consultant
Position Type: Contract
Start Date: June 2017
Duration: 6 or 12 months initially

Responsibilities:
- Engage in end to end talent competence development program with the Client's customers.
- Analyze customer pain points and talent development needs, promote and customize the talent competence development solutions based on customer demands. Build, manage and own the customer relationship, capture customer requirements and analyze customer pain points to identify and agree solution deliverables for engagement.
- Provide pre-sales support, including customer engagement; prepare presentation decks or proposal, conducting feasibility study survey and visiting. Identify marketing opportunities and propose competitive talent development solutions with all resource and service offers.
- Provide marketing and sales support to existing and prospective customers globally. Support major marketing events and activities as a subject matter expert.
- Improve the Client's Learning Service solution success rates and competence through talent competence development and consulting services, support Service Sales and Marketing activities and events.
- Provide suggestion on the Client's competence development service strategy and business planning; optimize existing competence development solution architecture, process, methodology, tools and etc.
- As a delivery representative role, involved in the project delivery, including conducting survey, writing survey reports, designing implementation solution, leading Learning service team implementation, etc. output the deliverables based on the Client's customer and the Client‘s quality criterias.
- Working closely with HQ and Regional service sales teams, assist and guide regions to develop long-term marketing strategies.
- Remain current with market trends and developments to identify opportunities and produce quarterly market and business intelligence reports.

Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Successful experience in a similar role managing enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Consulting experience gained within a telecoms operator or vendor or an industry recognized consultancy practice.
- At least 6+ years’ experience in learning/ICT industry as HRD or consultant.
- Proficient in organizational and talent development theory, competence development method and tools.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in, instructional/learning design, human resource development, educational technology, communications or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English with a natural ability to communicate complex concepts concisely with clarity and credibility. Fluent Mandarin is highly preferred.
- Able to travel extensively at short notice for extended periods, globally as required. Be willing to travel to underdeveloped regions.
- Think strategically and also work tactically with minute levels of detail.
- Personal integrity and professionalism.
