I'm a published fiction author in need of adding a new cover artist/illustrator to my team. I'm on a two to three book a year schedule, so I often need an artist who can generate covers that capture a readers attention before they even read the first page, as well as illustrate the depth of each novel.Job pays $350 per cover, and you'd be working closely with me back and forth in designing and creating the cover. You'll be given credit regularly to your work, and I'll make sure of that. I studied art and art history for ten years, so I understand your concerns personally. As the cover artist, your name will be credited in the book, I would send you a copy once it is finished, and your work will be seen by thousands of readers.
If all goes well, there is opportunity for illustration work in the down times as extra. I am looking for anyone who will help promote the book as well, so if you have any platforms of followings you can bring to the table, it would be much appreciated. The average deadline for each cover is 2 to 3 months. I am a stickler about deadlines, and you'll be required to sign a contract stating that you agreed to create the cover and agreed to meet the deadline for business purposes.
I do prefer realism over cartoon in most cases, although I know there are some pretty talents cartoonists out there. However, if you can create vivid landscapes and emotionally charged character illustrations, your odds will be much better.
