Our client, a global leading telecommunication company are recruiting for a Network design optimization engineer to join their business in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities:
- The optical design engineer will join the optical transmission network design team in order to implement transmission network innovation and expansions
- He will support the analysis of the requirements, will design the OTN solutions, will build, test, and release OTN solution in the customer’s acceptance environment
- will deal with their integration into the customer’s operational network and will deal with the virtualization of OTN-related IT and next generation OTN network

Qualifications:
- Profound knowledge and experience in optical network technologies, i.e. WDM, OTN, NEMS
- High level and low level optical transmission design for carrier network
- Solid understanding of Huawei WDM OTN portfolio incl. Huawei U2000 NEMS
- Hands-on design validation in test environment
- Hand-on experience with Linux OS and virtualization technologies
- Successful recent reference of design work in carrier/operator environment
- Good customer engagement skills on working level required
- Good communication and coordination skills required
- Successful recent work reference with telecoms carrier/operator
- Ability to work in a team
- Fluent Dutch and English language
