Description
We’re looking for a talented product designer to complement our small but tenacious engineering, culinary and marketing teams. We have a very unique setup and an amazing opportunity to change the way ordinary people cook.What You’ll Be Doing:
- Working with chefs from the French Laundry and other top restaurants to design effective cooking experiences for home chefs (and yes, taste-testing is part of the job)
- Creating a new cooking paradigm which will lead users through an entire recipe from prep to plating
App Design:
- Working on tough UX problems that come with paring mobile apps to hardware devices
- Creating delightful and engaging user experiences that address business, brand, market, and user requirements
- Owning the entire design process, from initial storyboarding to pushing final pixels and everything in between
Marketing and Brand Design:
- Creative development ranging from initial ideation and concepting to actual production of constantly varying assets.
- Design support for ongoing national advertising campaigns including print ads, online display ads, infographics, event signage, marketing collateral, etc.
- Collaborate with outside vendors including ad agencies, web developers, and independent marketing contractors.
What we’re looking for:
- Killer portfolio, including (shipped!) mobile work and brand design
- A love of food & cooking
- Expert level skills in Adobe creative suite and/or Sketch. Familiarity with other design tools such as invision is an added bonus.
- Mobile design experience is a must. We’ll be transitioning to web work eventually, so experience there is highly desired.
- Expert level understanding of interaction design and information architecture
- Understanding of technical challenges and how to communicate with engineers
- Proven experience collaborating with internal and external marketing teams
- Experience within CPG’s is highly desired, but not required
