Actuarial Contractor - Home Insurance - 9 Months
Actuarial Contractor is required by a leading General Insurance organisation, responsible for recommending and managing risk price through the transformation program.
The main responsibilities would be:
- Support development of segment reporting and profitability monitoring.
- Support development of rate monitoring process/risk indexing.
- Support delivery of Home & Motor GLM analytics projects.
- Support Planning, Portfolio Reviews, Rebridge and UW Risk Parametrization exercises.
- Support other projects eg revamping Smart Renewals mechanism
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy and consistency of pricing data sources.
- Ad-hoc analytics
Requirements:
- Qualified Actuary/Part-Qualified Actuary/Pricing Analyst with GI analytics background.
- Undergraduate degree in Mathematics/Actuarial Science or relevant field.
- Experience in Home or Motor insurance desirable.
- Experience with MS, SAS/SQL, RADAR required. Additional technical skills advantageous eg Emblem
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
- Project management skills.
- Proven ability to manage tight deadlines and priorities
