Description
There is a need to ensure that all HSBC employees are 'informed' to mitigate the exposure that the organisation faces from Cyber threat. This ranges from those with privilege access and high system Admin rights through to operators whom are dealing with customer data.
Cyber security is not an IT or IT Security centric activity. It involves everyone in the organisation and it is key that all employees are fully informed to enable us to continue to mitigate Cyber threat.
In 2017 one part of this is the on line mandatory training to be completed by mid year. However there is a need to do more and to reinforce some of the key messages.
This is to include dedicated Executive training and awareness and also specific tailored business line education and awareness.
There is a need to also ensure that key business line risks are identified in conjunction with the HSBC knowledge of the current threat landscape and that these are logged so that they can be managed through the current operational risk mechanisms.
