The role will have a focus on digital and web technologies. Experience with SAP Hybris and Adobe Web Platform is essential.
Role responsibilities:
The purpose of the role is to provide definition of the strategic applications architecture, to include business applications software, database, Middleware and utility software, to develop the Reference Architecture to ensure delivery of a flexible, robust and cost effective applications portfolio for the Clients brands.
The role will also be responsible for the optimisation of the applications architecture through an understanding of applications technology capabilities and business needs, assurance of applications delivery from internal projects and third-party suppliers, and provision of architectural leadership to business and technology stakeholders.

- Expert understanding of application and Middleware design and architecture
- Expert production of clear and concise documentation of applications architecture
- Proficient collaborating with IT teams to develop architecture standards and policies
- Proficient understanding of solution design and integration principles
- Familiarity with common architectural frameworks eg TOGAF; Zachman
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Strong professionalism and interpersonal skills to resolve problems, lead working groups, negotiate and create consensus
- Ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts and issues into terms understandable to technical and non-technical staff

Experience Required:
- Proven experience with SAP Hybris and Adobe Web Platform. Software AG webMethods is also desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrable strong experience working in an architecture role with a strong applications or software development element.
- Experience of evaluating and making recommendations for new applications, database and Middleware technologies and platforms in response to business needs
- Experience of a variety of applications technologies and implementations, ideally to include regulatory compliance (eg SOX, PCI and DPA) and multi-national deployments
- Experience of procurement, governance and assurance of third-party application solutions alongside broader supplier/partner management skill
- Experience of delivering architecture in a corporate environment
- Experience of working within a project framework
