PaaS Architect (Heroku) - Walsall, West Midlands- £600p/d max
A global consultancy require a PaaS Architect, particularly strong in Heroku to work on site at a Utilities client in Walsall. The role may include occasional offshore travel to other client sites that will be fully expensed.
The contract will initially be 3 months with up to 18 months worth of extensions possible.
Required skills:
- Strong previous knowledge of Heroku
- Experienced in the evaluation of various cloud environments (Heroku, CloudFoundry, AWS, Azure etc.) and recommend the solution best suited for the organisation.
- Enterprise Architect with Heroku (PaaS) experience who can support the development of a billing application
- Demonstrable experience in producing high-level design for cloud solutions.
- Good knowledge and exposure to Docker/Kubernetes and other containers
- Strong enterprise architecture experiences able to evaluate on-premise and cloud architecture and can lead the design/re-design of the architecture to be future proof.
- Strong experience of working with Heroku PaaS platform with experiences in the deployment of applications/MicroServices, scaling up, securing applications etc.
- The experience of working in Proof of Concepts and transitioning it into the full blown product.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of REST and SOAP based API design and development. An experience of working with large-scale API integrations on the cloud environment.
Desirable skills:
- Puppet/Ansible/Chef
- Strong Java 8 experience with up-to-date features and libraries.
- Good experience of designing/developing MicroServices with technologies such as Spring Boot.
- Discuss and capture the Technical and non-functional requirements for the project
- Defining the integration architecture (experience with SalesForce integration would be useful)
