Description

TechRaptor is growing on a daily basis, with solid daily views, and our articles being picked up from various sources regularly. We have a solid team that produces content on a daily basis, but there's always room for more people in our big family of Raptors.

There's a few aspects of TechRaptor that could really use some extra attention, and we know that the right people could help us grow them to great heights as the site itself grows. If you think that one of the below positions fits something you're interested in, take a look at how to apply at the bottom of this post!

Content Writers

Writers are the most versatile of our team - able to write news, reviews, editorials, or conduct an interview with a developer. We can always use more people on our team to keep bringing great content to our readers, which is why we want people to apply.

Apply if:

  • You love games/tech/tabletop and follow the latest news
  • You're able to quickly turn around a story (news/editorial/interview)
  • (Review) You can complete a game in full, looking at all aspects of it and reviewing based on how it plays, not any outside influences.
  • You pride yourself on high quality content that informs readers, not misleads.
  • You're willing to put in the work and write 300+ word articles free of copy paste from any other sources.
  • You're willing to follow a set of guidelines to maintain quality standards, as well as TechRaptor's ethics policy.
  • You want to work with a bad ass team of raptors.
  • You're someone who plans on sticking around a while.

Content is the lifeblood of our site, so having more content writers is key to our growth. If you're interested in joining our team, use subject "Content Writer" to apply and attach two pieces of writing that are tech/gaming/tabletop related.

Specialties TechRaptor is looking for:

  • Japanese Gaming Specialist
  • eSports Correspondents
  • Tabletop Gaming Specialists

Video Content Creators

TechRaptor has been gradually expanding our video coverage over the last year, adding more regular staples than the extensive con coverage we provide at E3 and Gen Con. We'd like to get more reviews, first impressions, and featured video content on our channel - and we're looking for great creators to work with us on that.

Apply if:

  • You're able to create a few videos a month and can accompany them with 150+ words on-site
  • You are able to edit videos without needing much direction from our Video Editor
  • You can articulate yourself well, and form reasoned and clear arguments
  • You love gaming, tech, or tabletop
  • You pride yourself on high quality content that informs readers, not misleads.
  • You're willing to follow a set of guidelines to maintain quality standards, as well as TechRaptor's ethics policy.
  • You want to work with a bad ass team of raptors.
  • You're someone who plans on sticking around a while.

We'd love to have new video content creators to join our team, so if interested apply with two examples of gaming, tech, or tabletop content with the subject "Video Creator".

If any of those roles above look good to you, please apply at the email address below.

Two Notes:

  • We typically get a lot of requests when we put up an ad for more staff, so it may take us a while to get to you. If it's been more than 2 weeks since you've emailed us (we'll try not to let this happen), chances are you haven't made the cut.
  • TechRaptor pays based on number of articles written per month, in a tiered system, with higher tiers reserved for writers who have proven themselves. Due to our size this pay is pretty low - so it may not meet expectations for many people. Because of that - anyone who is accepted will receive our current pay setup for full disclosure before moving forward. We don't want to waste anyone's time, and find it very important to be transparent about our finances.

We look forward to meeting a ton of great new writers and aspiring journalists as we seek to bolster our team with our new site design. We want to make TechRaptor a great place to find content, and hope that everyone who applies feels the same.
