Description
Global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Consultant to work as an Environmental Compliance Manager for their offshore wind farm project. The environmental Compliance Manager will support the implementation of revisions of the clients HSE management system incorporating drafting instructions and processes for the environmental component of the HSE Management system, which will include summaries of relevant legislation, overarching requirements and detailed processes and templates and provide the necessary training support to ensure the updated is Embedded into day to day operational site activities. This will be a 3 month freelance contract to start from 14th August 2017 up until approx. 15th November 2017 with the possibility of extending further thereafter.Responsibilities:
- Review the outcomes of the UK O&M mapping
- Draft all UK environmental procedure and process documents for operations
- To draft all the clients environmental procedure and process documents for operations
- Change management
- Advise and support, to provide ad hoc on advise on other aspects of environmental compliance activities (lessons learned based on experience on other projects)
- BSc, MSc in environment related subject, a relevant post graduate qualification would be beneficial
- Minimum 2 years experience of working with environmental management systems including developing and implementing processes
- Membership of a professional body (IEMA)
- Must have excellent communication and influencing skills
- To be able to lead and work independently
- Must have excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work within commercial constraints and to recognise the need to flexible approaches
Special Provisions:
The Consultants will be required to bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and iPhone mobile telephone.
The Consultants must have his/her own PPE equipment (Personal Protection Equipment)
