Job Title: SDM -Network Deployment and Operations
Location - Dublin,Ireland
Duration- 6 months rolling contract
Start date - ASAP
Required Skills:
- Manage and lead a strong technical team responsible for site surveys and deployment of production network at data centers and POPs sites globally.
- Candidate will be a hands-on-manager with technical depth, vision, and ability to innovate.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Procurement, Engineering, Installation teams and vendors to manage network deployment activities.
- Manage site documentation, capacity planning, asset inventory, and hardware sparing functions at our POPs and data centers.
- Manage and improve business practices.
- Proactive management of sparing and network capacity across POPs and data center regions.
- Manage relationships with site level and partner engineering teams.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in technical field
- The candidate will have 3+ years of experience managing a technical team, with 10+ years experience supporting or designing networks.
- Experience working in a Data Center, DC architecture and issues related to data center networks
- Technical knowledge of Routers, Switches, routing protocols and circuit troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of fiber-optic communications technology including CWDM and DWDM
- Experience working in a multi-vendor network environment preferred
- Solid understanding of data center design and operational best practices.
- Experience with field-based work in Collocation Facilities, Internet Exchanges, or Central Offices a plus Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to analyze issues within production networks running dynamic routing protocols.
- Experience working with Linux systems a plus.
- Knowledge of Scripting a plus
- Experience with process improvement and systems development, leveraging automation to streamline repetitive workflows.
- Experience with managing change control processes and maintenance activity in a 24x7 production environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an global team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in technical field
- The candidate will have 10+ years of experience managing a technical team, with 15+ years of experience supporting, deploying or designing networks.
- Experience with field-based work in Collocation Facilities, Internet Exchanges, or Central Offices. Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to analyze issues within production networks running dynamic routing protocols
