Description
Technical Cloud Consultant/Engineer - VMware vRealize Suite, AWS, API's, Networking is required by my client who is based in London or Heathrow.
My client requires a hands on Technical Consultant/Engineer who is currently SC Cleared or willing to go through it.
Key Skills:
- VMware vRealize Suite
- vRealize Operations Suite
- vRealise Automation Suite
- AWS Cloud
- Good experience with API's
- Good experience of building virtual machines
- Broad infrastructure background
Key Responsibilities:
To take the defined architecture for the vRops deployment in our multi-tenant VMware virtualisation platform and:-
- Produce detailed design for implementation covering network, backup, storage and compute elements
- Work with operations teams to log relevant change requests
- To deploy vRops against the detailed design, creating all necessary virtual components (network, storage etc)
- Build and deploy necessary supporting infrastructure elements (nginx load balancers, DNS Servers etc)
- Define initial standard templates for monitoring the target run time elements
- Work with operations to deploy agents to target devices, integrate into the vRops platform and complete initial event threshold tuning; and report template creation, scheduling and notification setting
- Develop service operational run books and service architecture for the support of the platform.
- Transition support of platform into operational context with requisite documentation
- Provide early life support to the operations team (users) and interface with 3rd parties, suppliers as needed to fix, assist with configuration requirements
- Plan for the extension of vRops into public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Work within architecture team for next stage definition for deployment of VRA
- Repeat vRops with VRA.
