Description

We are looking for an IT Business Consultant to work at our multinational client in The Hague

Expected tasks and deliverables by the Consultants

The client wants to consolidate its User Support as well as its Operational and Technical Support activities into one Managed Service and Support Contract and the client has launched a project to achieve this.

  • Preparatory interviews with staff to establish a common understanding on the deliverables.

  • Detailed Analysis of the current full contract and accompanying agreements, Service Levels and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Analyse the current IT Service Desk and Services performed on 1st, 2nd and 3rd Levels (As-is) and recommend improvements based upon thorough and detailed analysis of the current terms and conditions of the service supply contract.

  • Gather analyse and consolidate the technical requirements for the tender (aligned with the Existing Service Catalogue) to finalise the whole scope.

  • Create and recommend provisions based on supplier markets, to include possible contract terms and conditions, penalties and motivation strategies using SLAs.

  • Analyse the SLA requirements for the tender.

  • Analyse reporting/KPI requirements/tolerances.

  • Suggest various options how to integrate additional support.

  • Perform a supply market analysis, making recommendations accordingly:

  • Analyse the Market for Vendors that can support and operate complex environment consisting of both Windows and Unix/Linux infrastructure and its applications that is a mix of standard business applications as well as home developed applications (Market Analysis 1)

  • Analyse the current Mainframe Support and Operations (Current operating Model, Running Costs, and Team Structure), and propose New Strategy for Future Mainframe Operating Model, including Hardware and Software Operations, as well as Disaster Recovery Hosting (Market Analysis 2)

  • Recommend the outsourcing strategy based on the above

  • Recommend strategies for the Service transition to a new provider with minimal risk

    The output deliverables from the above tasks are requirements and recommendation documents to be used as main input for the project, project roadmap, project decisions, and subsequent procurement through tender.

Educational and experience

  • Masters degree with minimum 10 years hands on experience in defining the architecture of large IT systems

  • Experienced with working in large government/public-body organisations;

  • Experienced in multi-national environment;

  • Strong experience in IBM Mainframe and/or Unix environments and corresponding service providers

  • Specialised in transformation for IT services;

  • Experienced in cross-departmental transformation.

  • Experience with similar projects;

  • Very good Communication skills, interpersonal skills and analytical skills.

  • Being active in a multi-cultural environment, the Contractor's staff shall have a very good level of English (oral and written).

  • The knowledge of German and French will be of added benefit.
