Unix Systems / DevOps Engineer | London | 12 Months | £550 - £600pd (Outside IR35)People Source Consulting are currently seeking a Unix Systems / DevOps Engineer to take on a 12 month contract position with a central Government Department.
I am pleased to confirm this role will fall outside of IR35 legislation.
As part of their on-going digital transformation, my client is looking for a Unix Systems / DevOps Engineer to provide Expert knowledge and services throughout this 12 month contract.
Your role will include:

Planning and migration of SPARC Solaris and IBM PowerPC Aix servers into new physical environment
*Overlook the hardware installation in the DC
Installation of Solaris/AIX systems
*Setting up update and patching strategies for both Solaris and AIX 5.Integrate with the existing Linux management stack Configure HBAs of SPARC and
*IBM servers to connect to SAN and prepare volumes for hosting OracleDB
*Setup management services on Linux infrastructure
*Setup monitoring
*Work with Storage & Networking team to bring service Live

Ideal candidates will hold current Home Office SC Clearance.
In return the client are offering an outside of IR35 day rate of £550 - £600pd on a 12 month contract in Fleet Street, London.
One day remote working per week will be allowed as long as it fits with business / project needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a stable, long term contract within a GDS environment. Ideal candidates will hold SC Clearance (Security Checked), although eligible candidates can be sponsored through the process if needs be. ALL applicants must be eligible for UK SC Clearance.
