Experience Excel Expert Experienced Excel Expert - Stockley ParkMy client a leading energy trading company based in Stockley Park is looking for an Experienced Excel Expert to work on a short term contract for 6 weeks. Contract Description The contract will be to build two separate spreadsheet tools, which will need to be intuitively used by the project manager community to track financials, prepare financial summaries and generate automated output in terms of charts and data. Responsibilities It is expected that the resource will take responsibility for delivery of the excel tool, working closely with team members that have already developed a basic working proto-type. It is expected that the resource will follow a high level process of gathering requirements, design, build, test & roll-out. Deliverables The deliverables of the contract are to: a) provide project managers with an excel tool that they can use to monitor their projects at the low level, of forecast spend, committed spend, accruals & actual spend, Capex & Revex and provide output charts and data to be inserted into the higher level portfolio planning & monitoring tool and financial applications.and;b) provide an excel tool that can be used by the central PMO team to take output data from the higher level portfolio planning & monitoring tool to provide summary tables & charts for use in management reports. Experience & Knowledge Essential· Superior Microsoft Excel skills.· Excel VBA macro skills.· Building Macros' V -look up's and use of logic / if statements. · A basic understanding of financial tracking and accounting rules & practices e.g. capitalisation and accruals· Experience of working with large and complex data sets to analyse dataPreferred· Experience of working in an IT project environment or for a project management office· Certification in Excel Skills/Behaviours · Self-motivated and be able to operate independently once the brief is understood.· Strong analytical skills·Strong interpersonal, communication & team working skill.This is agreat opportunity to work for a fantastic client on a short contract.
