An innovative Engineering consultancy with a strong reputation within the Automotive and Motorsport industries are hiring a Design Engineer to join their Design Engineering team.
Role: Design Engineer
As Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
+ Producing and scheming layouts of conceptual designs, iterations and co-ordination through to detailed component models and drawings
+ Taking design concepts from prototype to mass production
+ Producing engineering release information for effective Bill of Material (BoM) requirements
+ Responsible for producing drawings to BS 8888 or ASME Y14.5 or similar internationally recognised standards for effective component manufacture
+ Responsible for layout and detail mechanical assemblies using NX 3D CAD
+ Ensure CAD assemblies are maintained to company standards and expectations
Experience:
As Design Engineer you will have experience of:
+ Degree qualified or equivalent in mechanical engineering/engineering or equivalent experience
+ Industry experience in the design of mechanical/plastic/polymer systems and assemblies from concept through to final manufacturing drawings
+ Experience in the design of machined, moulded and fabricated components
+ Desirable to have knowledge of plastic moulding, injection moulding
+ Highly skilled 3D solid modelling ability preferably on NX8.5 ~ 11 though experience of CATIA V5/Solidworks etc will be considered
+ Proven understanding of CAD modelling
