About the role:
Optaros is seeking a Front End Web Developer to build a variety of types of web sites and web applications for our varied clients. The Web Developer is a member of the Optaros technology team and reports to the Technical Lead or Director of Technology. This role provides support to the project’s web development staff and involves complex and unique technical problems, which requires the ability to collaborate with other disciplines. The Web Developer will be required to exude extensive technical knowledge of all client side programming subject areas. The work on these project requires ingenuity and creativity.

Responsibilities:
• Strong knowledge of modern web development and its technologies, tools, vendors, and products
• Build websites and web applications that accurately match creative designs
• Build websites and web applications that function according to functional specifications
• Inquisitive team member of the web development staff
• Guidance for the design, code and testing of client solutions produced by the web development staff
• Provide support for process improvement efforts
• Assurance that the team meets service commitments for assigned deliverables
• Provide inputs to test planning and execution
• Fosters a collaborative, agency team environment, following and maintaining the specifications, guidelines and standards set by the department
• Provides accurate estimation and delivery of projects
• Assesses the development requirements and providing input with regard to the provision of standard vs. customized solutions
• Provides technical problem resolution to complex issues

• 3-6 Years of web development experience
• Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Magento
• Expert knowledge of cross-browser development and best practices
• Experience with Javascript frameworks (Angular, React, etc.)
• Experience with web animation (CSS animations, JavaScript animation libraries)
• Experience with modern build tools (Grunt, Gulp, etc.)
• Experience with Git or comparable source control technology
• Experience with JSON; RESTful services; DOM parsing and memory management strategies
• Experience with common web APIs, e.g. Facebook, Google or Youtube
• Experience with templating engines and CMS driven front ends (Adobe Experience Manager/CQ, SiteCore, Drupal, WordPress)
• Application development life-cycle knowledge is required
• In-depth knowledge of backend technologies a plus (PHP, ASP.NET, NodeJS)
• Advantage: MySQL or other relational databases and stored procedures
• Advantage: Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with Mobile Application Development is a plus
• Experience working within an agency environment is a plus
