VMWare System Engineer - Architecture, Design, Deployment, DR, Backup
My client, a leading international financial institution, are looking for an experienced VMWare System Engineer to join their team based in Dublin for an initial 12 month contract.
Required experience:
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on VMWare Virtual Infrastructure including architecture, (re)design, deployment, DR, backup
- Design, deploy and maintain virtual infrastructure solutions based on VMWare Virtual Infrastructure
- Maintain awareness of the foundation that virtual infrastructure provides for the delivery of IT services
- Implement VMware software upgrade into the Dev and Test environments, recommend and approve upgrade releases for production environment
- Provide clear documentation for all virtualization efforts, including decision criteria, processes, forecasts, etc. Ifo Glow
- Windows DNS knowledge
- Windows AD knowledge: create and maintain AD groups
- Fileshare access: add/change fileshare authorizations
