Technical Architect - OpenSource - Digital - 6 month initial contract
I have an urgent requirement for an experienced Technical Architect to join a large scale digital programme of work based in Nottingham on a contract basis.
The Technical Architect will be involved in Architecting, Engineering and Delivering custom digital software solutions utilising some of the best tools and technologies in the open source space (MongoDB, DropWizard, AWS, Docker).
Working with cutting edge technologies, the chosen Technical Architect will have a background in developing enterprise applications, ideally with Java, Scala, Python, Ruby or Clojure, a passion for clean code and constantly be keeping an eye out for emerging technology in the market.
The Technical Architect will be responsible for working with the client to understand business requirements, design and architect solutions, and ensure the solution is engineered to client satisfaction taking advantage of their enviable knowledge of the SDLC, and strong awareness of modern design principles and practices - BDD, TDD, DDD, DevOps!
In order to be considered for the Technical Architect role, you should demonstrate an eagerness to continue working within the open source environment, (demonstrable experience in NoSQL databases, Cloud technologies and DevOps practices are highly desirable skills, as is a passion for clean code).
