Oracle DBA - Production ORACLE DBA- Production - BANKINGMy Client a leading Investment Bank is looking for an Oracle DBA to work within Ops & Control dba team, and other teams as requirements dictate, to service all aspects of Oracle administration whilst adhering to in-house standards.These tasks will include;* Monitoring work delivery mechanisms (chat channel, change systems, and request systems) for incoming work.* Provide early warning of impending capacity issues (including developing additonal scripts/procedures where required)* Working outside core business hours when required* Co-ordinating server outages/upgrades with relevant teams.* Setting up, and resolving issues with oracle dataguard standbys.* Building/upgrading databases, adhering to bank deployment and security standards.* Assisting application teams to resolve performance issues when they arise, coordinating with cross-functional teams where appropriate.* Debugging script and stored procedure code.IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE CANDIDATE HAS THE REQUIRED BACKGROUND:BANKING experience.Production support background in large financial organizationOracle 10g, 9iOracle dataguardOracle db Performance & TuningRMAN backup & recoveryExposure to SAN environmentsUNIX / Linux utilities/commandsThis is a fantastic opportunity working for a high profile client.
