Description
Verified Studios is seeking an experienced Drupal Theme Designer with modern design sensibilities and a unique understanding of Drupal theme construction and templating structure. Our perfect candidate is an inspired and skillful individual with a love for designing beautiful purposeful websites and continually improving their craft.We’re offering the chance to utilize these skills, as part of the Verified Studios team, to build websites for higher education clients and the opportunity to work in a close-knit, small-team environment high on personal responsibility and a desire to help our clients succeed.
You’ll have the flexibility to either collaborate in our office in downtown Asheville, NC or work remotely.
Desired Skills and Experience
Advanced knowledge of Drupal 7 CMS platform
Expert knowledge of HTML/CSS/SCSS
Advanced understanding of PHP
Advanced understanding of JavaScript and jQuery
Understanding of Sass compiling using Grunt, Yarn, etc…
Understanding of Bootstrap, Foundation or other responsive frameworks
Has built and maintained an array of Drupal based websites for clients
Has a solid design touch and understanding of modern web layout and content design
Familiarity working with common Drupal modules such as Views, Display Suite, etc..
Experience with Git or equivalent
Familiarity with local environment development
Nice to Have but Not Required
Has interacted or developed sites on Drupal 8
Previous experience working within higher education
Has designed WordPress themes and/or managed site builds
Familiarity working with common WordPress plugins such as ACF, Gravity Forms, etc…
Familiarity with WCAG and Section 508 Accessibility Standards
Understanding of managed hosting with Pantheon, Acquia, WP Engine, etc…
