Business Analyst for Pega/iBPM
Job location: Brussels
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 month with extension
Languages: English (fluent)

Our client delivers sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets, by providing new IT solutions or by improving the existing applications (for both internal and external clients). They deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that doesn't compromise production stability.

They also ensure applicative production support. Their non-technical people maintain the maturity of the IT project delivery with appropriate controls, in line with the group's risk appetite and reducing development and running costs.

The project:

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the team that manage the new platform supporting the client admission. This platform will evolve quite rapidly into the future process management tool, to cover most business process.

In the first phase, this platform should improve the digital customer experience, make sure the business can fulfil their regulatory objective and automate as much as possible the client admission.
This platform will be based on a package and will be configured from scratch to support the different needs. In parallel, a new operating model to support it will need to be defined and organized. You will be part of a new Centre of Excellence with one key objective to keep the application in line with the overall strategy.

Your role:

The function has several aspects. We are looking for somebody willing to invest him/herself end-to-end in the delivery of the changes from the requirements to the production implementation:

You'll be acting as Business Analyst:

*You understand the needs of the different teams (Commercial, Compliance, Credit, Operations) and understand how the Business is structured
*You produce detailed business requirements and design them in the package process modeler
*You identify, describe and validate business solutions to meet the needs and ensure adequate trade-off between these different needs when not aligned (multi teams involved)
*You facilitate communication between the Business and the IT teams during the project delivery phase. You also provide an effective interface with the package vendor and the implementation partner
*You are able to make the business aware of their own interests and the implications of their decision or request
*You pay attention to have the right trade-off between quality, cost and timeliness
*You'll be involved in implementation and configuration of the package:
*You provide requirement for the work of the technical team in charge of the developments
*You act as the guardian of the package by challenging the Business and the IT teams in order to get the best of the package (balance between speed and long term stability, between application changes vs process changes)
*You provide the necessary inputs to the package vendor, so they can deliver the required components/evolutions
*You configure some parts of the package by yourself for the small changes
*You'll be involved in the testing of the package - you develop business test scenarios
*You review the testing done by the technical team and implementation partner to ensure that requirements have been correctly implemented
*You validate the quality of the changes end-to-end before passing to the Business for detailed validation
*You participate and support the test execution handled by the Business end-users during the User Acceptance Test (UAT)

Your Profile:

Min. 7 years experience as Business Analyst (or an equivalent exposure, but the analysis part is key) in different Business domains, ideally in line with financial sector activities

For the more Business side of the job, the following skills are key:

*Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. You know how to break down complex problems that stretch out over several domains into smaller pieces to understand logical links and dependencies. *You can distinguish essential information and summarise it accordingly. You see how information is linked and you recognise common patterns in elements that seem unrelated at first
*You don't hesitate to dig in the details when required (eg define an end to end process)
*Good knowledge of the Microsoft Suite Office (especially Excel)

For the more technical side of the job:

*You are willing to understand the technical infrastructure of our client.
*You are willing to learn how the application is working.
*No technical skills are required (development, SQL, )

The coordination part of the mission requires the following:

*Customer-focused, service-oriented and business-minded
*Aware of security and data privacy policies
*Flexibility to quickly adapt in case of unexpected change of priority
*Good negotiation and conflict management skills
*Organisational skills and capacity to work autonomously

You know how to:

*Build constructive relationships with all stakeholders (IT, Business teams, external providers,...)
*Create clear and concise documentation (business requirements specifications, SOP, and other documents)
*Communicate with technical projects teams
*Manage changes and conflicting priorities
*Find solutions that meet clients' needs
