NMS Engineer
Role
- Provide technical support NMS systems
- Attendance on site required Monday to Friday - typical day will be 09:00-17:00 in Dublin but there may be a need to support night-time migration activity
- Support daily activity on the Programme
- Act as a SME EPN-M
- Provide Knowledge
Person Essential
Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing
Fluent English (verbal and written)
A minimum of 10 years proven hands-on network management experience - EPN-M experience would be excellent
CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)
Deep understanding of networking protocols (eg, IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS) with relevant experience of at least 5 years
Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
Comfortable in presenting new concepts to people some of whom may not be as skilled
Desirable
An understanding of Teleco Networks and working processes
University degree in Computer Science or a related subject or Equivalent
