Business Analyst

I am currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to join a local authority based in the South East on a contract basis. The Business Analyst will Analyst will work as part of the Re-imagining Post and Print (RiPP) Project team and help transform current mail and print service to be digital by default .

The Business Analyst will have the following experience:
  • Good working Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Experience of the development of:
  • Business Cases
  • Functional Specifications
  • Use Cases
  • GUI, screen and Interface designs
  • Good experience of preparation and management of test planning and UAT.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of best practice in Business Analysis Knowledge of the security standards and all relevant legislation that affects security within the defined scope of authority.
  • Good working knowledge of the information lifecycle.
  • A good knowledge of current and emerging technologies; e.g OCR
  • A good understanding of change management and quality management and behaviour/ culture change and channel shift.


The Business Analyst will be required to:
  • Implement standardised digital post and print solutions; and a new smaller in-house mail and print room service.
  • The Business Analyst will investigate, map and analyse business processes, using appropriate business analysis techniques and successfully execute their plans and proactively communicate and collaborate with the business, in-house development and third party solutions providers.
  • Redesign a smaller in-house mail service/ satellite hubs to handle non-standard outbound and inbound mail, exception mail and house the new emergency printer.
  • Develop the new inbound and outbound digital mail solutions by working with business, services and third party supplier to enable quicker inbound mail categorisation and distribution.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of the new digital print solutions as required.
  • Encourage services/business to change their business processes and behaviour (as required) to adopt the new post and print solutions.
  • Implement agreed solutions; including feasibility studies, pilots and proof of concept projects where appropriate.
  • Use a range of sources of information to inform and back up these recommendations including interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
  • To help evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, simplify high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.


This role is suitable for an experienced Business Analyst who is ideally immediately available.
