Job Description
Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to work under the direct supervision, assists with the installation and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems.
- Assists in the planning and evaluation of existing network systems.
- Assists in the development of technical standards and interface applications, evaluation of new products and network problem resolutions.
- Provides assistance in network planning, engineering and architecture Follows standard practices and procedures in analysing situations involving readily identifiable problems.
- Assists in the planning of large scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies.
- Works on complex problems where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. Requires expert knowledge of TCP/IP based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, and SMTP.
- This position shall have experience and be familiar with the implementing and administrating network devices such as Routers, Firewalls, and Switches in an Enterprise network environment.
- Typically requires a two year degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering and two years experience and knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, networks, and applications.
- Frequently reports to the Network LAN/WAN Manager.
