The Flemish Social Welfare Society , in short, VMSW , is an external independent agency of the Flemish Government within the Spatial Planning, Residential Policy and Real Estate Heritage (RWO) policy area. The Flemish Society for Social Welfare is the successor to the Flemish Housing Company .
The Flemish Social Welfare Society wants to make social housing possible. Therefore, they encourage, support, support and finance local social housing organizations such as social housing companies and municipalities in the Flemish Region to realize and maintain social housing projects.
Your New role :-
System administrator of SQL Server platforms. You manage about twenty SQL Server installations over three domains, the versions vary from SQL Server 2008 to 2016. One of the current assignments is the migration of databases and applications from the older to the new installations. Communication with system administrators and SAN technicians on the one hand and developers on the other hand is very important.
Supporting three development teams.
Two development teams and a BI team have a lot of freedom at VMSW, these teams solve the most problems themselves. But every now and then team members will ask for your help for specific issues such as index tuning or the configuration of security. For a number of issues you function as an intermediary between these teams and the system administrators.
You are available approximately 2 days a week, part of the work can only be done outside office hours.
The Flemish Social Housing Society wants to make social living possible. That is why she supports local social housing organizations such as social housing companies and municipalities in the Flemish Region to realize and maintain social housing projects.
The VMSW ensures the planning of social housing in Flanders through the timely preparation of the annual implementation program. It also finances or subsidizes social housing projects and installs residential infrastructure such as roads, sewers and greenery. It provides the Flemish residential loan to private individuals for the purchase of a social housing, the renovation of the owner-occupied home, the purchase of a house that needs to be renovated.
Your Skills and Qualifications :-
Essential Skills :-
- SQL Server
- Perfect oral and written knowledge of Dutch
- You are strong in communication and a good team player. Y
- Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks at the same time.
- You show initiative, perseverance, patience and flexibility and you work purposefully with a keen eye for detail.
- You can multitask and work with a variety of people.
- You have a thorough knowledge of SQL Server, you are expected to install new machines and you support a wide range of SQL Server versions.
- You are strong in SQL Server tuning.
- You have good knowledge of SQL Server security (Kerberos).
- You have a basic knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services multidimensional and a basic knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services, as you will support the BI team.
- VMSW uses VMWare, SCOM and DPM; basic knowledge of these tools is a plus.
