Proteus Europe is searching for a French and Dutch speaking Functional Analyst for a 1 Year contract role based in Brussels, Belgium with occasional trips to Antwerp.

Our Client :-
Our client is an international consultancy with a reputation for delivering on projects with their consultancy customers. You will join and be part of their team to ensure this current project is a complete success.

Your New role :-

The Functional Analyst analyzes and translates - requirements- into a functional design, taking into account the framework (the existing architecture, the technical possibilities and limitations, ...), implements and maintains specific applications, and provides end user support within its scope.

Main responsibilities:
1. Functional analysis
Assisting business analysts with the drafting of their files / Business Requirements and assuming the final responsibility for the quality of the delivered functional project with the aim of determining the potential functional changes and / or improvements to the subsystems.
- Organizes reviews if necessary.
- Perform functional analysis of the systems for the more complex projects in collaboration with the business representatives.
- To shape the new strategy regarding the central collection point for reporting and analysis data.

2. Technical design
To be ultimately responsible for the quality of the technical project delivered and to guarantee the development of a manageable system that meets the standards and that is integrated into the landscape of existing IT systems.
- Organizes reviews if necessary.
- Check whether the technical analysis meets the functional requirements.
- Contribute to the current data warehouse (making available reporting data and Reporting support)

3. Compliance with the standards
Working in accordance with the standards that apply within the company, actively monitor the application of standards in the context of projects to develop applications in a uniform manner.

4. Business Requirements
Ensure that Business Requirements are understood from a functional point of view, critically evaluate and monitor them in order to propose alternatives for better solutions:
- Participate in defining, weighing and checking the scope of the project.
- Validating and accepting Business Requirements

5. Coordination skills
Manage the planning and follow-up for various sub projects, so that they proceed according to the agreed standards, ie according to importance, priority, budget, desired realization date and relevance

Your Skills and Qualifications :-

Essential Skills :-
- Level Master computer science or equivalent through experience in a similar function
- Technical knowledge of SAS
- Experience in Business Intelligence

Desirable Skills :-
- Experience with PRINCE2
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with SCRUM
- Experience with Enterprise Architect
- Experience in the insurance sector
