Big Data Application Developer
Big Data Application developer required for a 6/12 month rolling contract based in Dublin with a global Tier 1 investment bank. They are looking for talented developers with excellent Big Data skills who have 10+ years Object Orientated programming experience (Java/Python/Scala). This is a great opportunity to work on a high profile global project for the bank and work across a large and globally distributed team.
Key Skills Required:
- Strong Scala or Java development skills (Scala would be the first preference but we will consider candidates with strong Java skill set and willing to learn Scala)Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Apache Hadoop
- SQL Programming Competency (with practical experience of at least one RDBMS)
- Strong understanding of software build/release mgmt (with at least one build tool eg ANT)
- Good understanding of unit testing concepts
- Familiarity with development patterns
