JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking a team-orientated, highly motivated and process driven Administrator, to assist in defining, developing and implementing new monitoring frameworks to support internal IT operations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing the Splunk platform, including Splunk cloud
  • Standardizing and deploying Splunk to include configuration and maintenance across a variety of UNIX & windows operating systems.
  • Troubleshooting and supporting Splunk platform and any associated topologies on multiple operating systems.
  • Assisting internal Splunk users with designing, maintaining product quality dashboards, reports, visualizations and alerts.
  • Providing assistance and support organizations in deploying Splunk across networks.
  • Providing assessment services to determine data inputs, and sources of machine date to be ingested into the Splunk Platform.
  • Monitoring Splunk platform for capacity planning and optimization
  • Tweaking and fine tuning existing Splunk deployments.

Designing core systems performance metrics and troubleshooting logs expertise for customers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ Years in IT infrastructure, architecture, administration or security.
  • 2+ years' experience using Splunk within a large enterprise level
  • Proven ability to multitask, and solve complex technical issues, as well as proven experience working in multi-cluster environments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent English
  • Proven ability to build custom dashboards and visualizations.
  • Must have right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • German speaker
  • Formal Splunk training/qualifications.

Experience using PERL/Linux Shell Scripting/Regex.
