A leading consultancy require a leading Infrastructure specialist for contract work for their client in the banking space
Qualifications and Competencies:
10+ years' experience in infrastructure/environment management in complex, mission critical environments consisting of a mix of in-house developed and vendor developed applications
Demonstrated delivery of infrastructure and environment optimisation as well as productivity related initiatives.
Competencies:
Deep knowledge of n-tier application architecture and technology infrastructure across:
Mainframe O/S AIX and Linux
Windows O/S
Oracle Fusion Middleware
Oracle Forms
Weblogic/Jave EE
Cloud and virtual technologies
Databases - Familiarity with Oracle (SQL desirable)
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the technical architecture across test, production and CoB environments for core Global Funds Service applications
Implement best practices and market leading tools to optimise application and infrastructure performance as well as data movements while minimising Total Cost of Ownership
For production impacting issues related to infrastructure/environment issues ensure rapid resolution, identification of root cause and completion of long term remediation actions.
Establish and deliver infrastructure related efficiency initiatives to maximise resource productivity
Establish relationships with broader infrastructure related functions and other internal technology groups to leverage existing initiatives and influence in the adoption of appropriate technologies and processes.
Champion the adoption and improvement of the Minimum Operational Standards across Change, Monitoring, Resiliency, Incident and Continuous Improvement disciplines.
