L2 Application Support - Italian Speaking - Italy
A Fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Italian speaking L2 Application Support to join a Global Consultancy to work onsite at client site in Milan, Italy. This is expected to be a long term project, initial duration would be a 6-12 months contract.
L2 Application Support in Java/J2EE based Technology with 12+ years of experience in Application Operations and experience in managing Production Support Team
Primary Skillset:
- Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, XML, XSD, XML Parsers, JQuery, JavaScript.
- App/Web Servers: Apache, JBoss, WebLogic, Tomcat
- SOA: TIBCO, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL)
- Databases: Oracle 11g
- Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, UNIX
Job Description:
- Excellent Communication Skills in Italian and English languages with exposure in working with Global Support team
- Experience in Working in Banking and Financial Domain
- Strong understanding of standard ITIL framework and its application in IT landscape(ITIL Certification would be a plus)
- Excellent hands on experience in managing Production Support Team (Application Operations/Application Management)
- Manage day to day issues including daily health checks of applications and processes, working closely with end users, development staff and Infrastructure teams, to prioritize and resolve and/or mitigate outages.
- Monitor production team activities to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems to internal and external clients, technical resources, and executives.
- Excellent Incident and problem management skills and relentless drive for root cause and execute measures to reduce repeat occurrence and importantly make recommendations based on rationale investigation of the issue at hand.
- Ensures information controls, back-up and recovery strategies are in place across all environments.
- Implement continuous process improvement, including but not limited to policy, procedures, and production monitoring.
- Looks for areas of improvement in monitoring, application stability, and speed of determining root cause.
- Help in identifying, coordinating, and implementing initiatives/projects and activities that create efficiencies and optimize technical processing
- Communicates with line of business and management the overall status and health of the application.Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners
