BI Consultant - Big Data - Dutch Speaker
Location: Utrecht, Netherlands
Duration: 12 months initially
Languages: English and Dutch
Rate: (Euros) Competitive/Hour
Role:
- Data Engineer - Big Data
- Work on the collecting, storing, processing and analysing of huge sets of data
- Primary focus will be on integrating, configuring, maintaining, implementing and monitoring big data components (such as: Apache Kafka, HBase, Spark and MongoDB)
- Design scalable and future-proof systems, working with large sets of structured and unstructured data
- Work closely with teams to provide end-to-end build data solutions
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience as Data Engineer
- In-depth knowledge of - and experience with - the Hadoop ecosystem.
- Experience building production applications with Apache Spark
- Experience with Big Data processing, Big Data processing and Big Data storage
- Experience with columnar storage solutions like Apache HBase and/or MongoDB - including knowledge about Datamodelling for columnar storage
- Experience with Apache Kafka
- Experience with integrator of data from multiple data sources
- Hands-on development experience, preferably in a Scrum/Agile setting
- Must be able to take trainer/coach role
Desired (non-mandatory) Skills:
- Experience with Spark Streaming
- Experience with Scala
- Experience with Spotfire
