DevOps Engineer (Oracle) (Unix) (Autosys)
For an international financials client of mine I am looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who specialises in Oracle, SQL and Unix to join a dynamic project in Amsterdam. You will be working in a progressive, stable environment with a 12-month contract paying excellent rates.
As a DevOps Engineer you coach and train the DevOps teams in the optimal use of Oracle database technology with explicit attention to performance, safety and stability. You automate repetitive work: this to increase stability and efficiency
You will be working in the client's analytics area which is responsible for developing & maintaining the clients Oracle Datawarehouse. They follow Agile/Scrum methodology which means you will be working in business devops team of 6-8 comprising of devops engineers and analysts as well as a Product Owner who will decide on the priority of the user.
The ideal candidate will possess 75% of the following skills
o Strong Oracle PL/SQL experience.
o Strong Unix Shell Scripting experience.
o Experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control-M.
o Experience with GIT.
o Knowledge of IBM PDA/Netezza is a pre.
o Experience in developing and maintaining datawarehouses.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Dutch language is mandatory.
o Use of SQL query tools like SQL developer, aginity etc.
o Experience with working in Agile/Scrum environment is preferred.
o Experience with support of end-users.
o You are pro-active, you take it on and make it happen.
Your responsibilities include:
o Liaising with business stakeholders to understand new requirements and changes to existing datawarehouse.
o Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain code in PL/SQL/Unix.
o E2E responsibility which means performing both development and operations role.
o Monitoring of batches, bug fixing and incident resolution.
