Givergy is a young, fast growing business with an exciting future. We run a dynamic interactive bidding system that is used at many of the world’s most exclusive fundraising events. In the last 12 months, we’ve supported 1,500+ events globally and helped raise over HK$435 million for different charities. Some of our local charity partners include Captivating International, Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), EMpower, The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, Lighthouse Club, OneSky, and Room to Read.


What we’re after:
We are currently looking for confident, client facing, freelance Tech Support to join our growing team to work at various events throughout the year. The role involves setting up the system and providing on-site support at live events. Applicants must have a can-do attitude, work well under pressure and be able to proactively maintain the system during an event.
We offer a full training programme with the opportunity for the right candidates to progress to a Tech Manager. The role will include evening and weekend work, but we hope that you’ll be really excited by the prospect of working with Hong Kong’s leading charities.


Responsibilities:
1. Assist with setting up our services and local wireless networks at the event (training provided)
2. Assist in setting up and managing the Givergy system – configure events settings, import data, test and monitor the system and run reports (training provided)
3. Troubleshoot technical issues during the event
4. Work with the Tech Manager and the Event Team

Skills required:
1. Good IT support skills – problem solving skills are crucial
2. Knowledge of troubleshooting and fixing Windows 7 and 8 issues
3. Knowledge of diagnosing and fixing connectivity issues
4. Able to plan, deploy and troubleshoot wireless networks – router, controller and access points
5. Set-up and diagnose wireless network connections on a variety of devices - including tablets and mobiles
6. Ability to set-up and troubleshoot network equipment and cabling; diagnosing and fixing PC hardware
7. Excellent at communicating effectively with guests and team members
8. The ability to work well under pressure
9. Fluent English speaker; other language skills (particularly Cantonese and Mandarin) a bonus
10. Must be a Hong Kong Identity Card holder

Salary: HK$100/hr (after training) with potential for more as a Tech Manager.
