Agile Automation Tester
Are you passionate about testing and have the associated drive and energy? If so my client based in Antwerp, a leader within their market are looking for an experienced Agile Automation Tester. You will be Embedded within the scrum team and will assist with validating the quality of delivered stories via description and execution of test plans, with focus on test automation.
The man objective is to increase test automation which will result in reducing manual work and the time-to-market using a continuous delivery model in a reactive micro service environment build upon Scala and Java, Akka, AngularJS, Kafka and Cassandra.
Tasks
- Guard non-regression by documenting and maintaining automated business focused tests, through UI-test automation (cucumber-selenium) and/or API testing (cucumber-Java)
- Execute manual testing where automation is not appropriate
- Assess the quality and risks of stories that are assigned to you before deployment
- Work in close collaboration with the scrum team and the QA lead to accomplish the above
- Collaborate with other testers to ensure features are assessed across scrum teams, components or sub-systems boundaries;
Your profile
You have a proven industry experience as a Quality Assurance engineer/tester (+3y), with a strong experience in analytics driven platforms.
Required competences:
- Expert hands on knowledge of testing complex workflows in a microservice architecture
- Experience in a continuous delivery/deployment environment
- Experience with abstract test definition for either UI or API driven scenarios, applying BDD or DSL
- Capable of reading and understanding source code written in procedural, Object Oriented and/or functional languages such as Java, Scala, python and bash
- Capable of maintaining and extending automated tests for UI or API based functional test scenario's
- Able to write scripts or code for data provisioning or log analysis
- Able to write integration tests in Cucumber Java (or Scala)
Extras
- Experience with reactive architectures is a plus
- Knowledge of Java, Scala, python, Cassandra, Kafka, MongoDb, JavaScript, AngularJs is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor or Master in a related field; other exceptional candidates with proven track record will be considered.
