Description

The Operations Control Analyst is responsible for overseeing the health of the control environment and coordinating with Operations Management to improve the controls when gaps are detected. This position will be responsible for supporting Operations in delivering an effective, consistent & comprehensive controls environment across the team.
This position will also lead the way for Operations to react, respond & organize itself around the changing regulatory environment and in the coordination of relationships with and requests from various constituents. Key partners include the Business, Risk, Audit, Compliance, and Oversight & Controls.
Duties:

. Provide oversight and consultation on potential issues that arise with operations management, risk, compliance and products as necessary
. Ensure operational practices are in compliance with relevant risk standards, policies and regulations to maintain an effective control environment
. Manage projects and partner with operations managers in internal and external audits
. Interface with various internal groups including Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, Legal and Oversight & Controls as necessary
. Develop, implement, oversee and execute Quality Control Program that focuses on key risks and evaluate the effectiveness of mitigating controls
. Perform management reporting and engage management on appropriate actions
. Validate and review controls in light of key business projects, business changes and operational events such as Migrations, New Product, On-boarding/Off-boarding and System Implementations
. Evaluate the accuracy and completeness of Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSA)
. Responsible for tracking errors, Business Continuity, Breaches/Incidents and Quality Assurance
. Responsible for the content, consolidation and distribution of monthly Risk and Control reports.
. Monitor weekly and monthly production risk metrics
. Develop and deploy Key Risk training curriculum
. Carry out Controls Awareness training for all levels within the Business and Operations team

Qualifications:

Minimum education required:

. Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field. Employer will accept a combination of degrees in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field as meeting the Bachelor's degree requirement.

Minimum experience required:

. 3+ years of experience in financial controls or related experience.
Skills required:

. Experience with operational risk analysis, process improvement, end-to-end process reviews and process flow mapping.
. Experience performing deep dive reviews to identify process and control gaps. Controls awareness experience
. Strong knowledge of quality control techniques/procedures
. Previous Investment Operational/Asset Management experience
. Excellent oral and written communication
. Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
. Results focused and strong emphasis on delivery quality
. Strong organisational skills
. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate & influence as well as build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
. PC Skills - Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
